Hi, I’m Rebecca.

I have always been interested in colleges. During my own college search, I would lay on my bedroom floor poring over the Fiske Guide and all of the glossy brochures that arrived in my mailbox. Thirty years later, I dove into this world again when it was time to support my son through his college search and athletic recruitment process. From there, I began volunteering with ScholarMatch, providing 1:1 support to first generation low income students as they navigate the college application process. I now work with private clients, offering a complete range of college consulting services for students and their families as they navigate this exciting time in life.

Prior to becoming an Independent Educational Consultant, I spent more than 20 years in healthcare, both as a consultant and at Kaiser Permanente, where I led patient engagement initiatives. My consulting background enables me bring structure, organization, and a strategic lens to the college admissions process, while during my decade of leading a patient advisory council, I honed my ability to help people articulate their personal stories with clarity and purpose. Today, I use those same skills to guide students as they reflect on their experiences and craft compelling and authentic college applications.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Rochester, a Master’s in Health Finance and Management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and is in the process of earning a certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from UC Irvine.
