“I have always been interested in colleges. During my own college search, I would lay on my bedroom floor poring over the Fiske Guide and all of the glossy brochures that arrived in my mailbox. Thirty years later, I dove into this world again when it was time to support my son through his college search and athletic recruitment process. Since then, I have volunteered as a college coach with ScholarMatch, providing 1:1 support to first generation low income students as they navigate the college application process. I now work with private clients, offering a complete range of college consulting services for students and their families as they navigate this exciting time in life.”

My professional experience spans more than 25 years in healthcare, both as a consultant and with Kaiser Permanente, where I led patient engagement programming. My consulting background enables me to bring structure and organization to the college process, while during my 10+ years leading a patient advisory council, I became skilled at helping patients articulate their personal stories with clarity and meaning. I now use the same approaches with my students as they reflect on their experiences and draft compelling and authentic college essays.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Rochester, a Master’s in Health Finance and Management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and is in the process of earning a certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from UC Irvine.
